Cheongju, South Korea – The 11th HWPL World Peace Summit has come to a close, bringing together over 800 global leaders to promote peace and unity, held on September 18-19, this year.

The summit saw significant participation from around the world, including 119 delegates from the Philippines.

Some highlights of the summit include the following :

Global Endorsement: 17 international entities have endorsed HWPL’s Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), a proposed legal framework for sustainable peace.

Peace Education: HWPL’s peace education initiatives have been adopted in Zambia, Mongolia, and the Philippines, promoting values of peace and conflict resolution.

Youth Empowerment: Youth-led Peace Clubs are promoting conflict resolution and peacebuilding, empowering young leaders to drive positive change.

Interfaith Cooperation: Interfaith dialogue platforms like SRPC and RPA are fostering cooperation among religious leaders, promoting mutual understanding and respect.

The summit demonstrates growing global support for HWPL’s mission and commitment to peacebuilding, with a focus on practical solutions and public-private partnerships.

HWPL stands for Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. It is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting global peace by ceasing war, spreading a culture of peace, and restoring the light of peace through heavenly culture. 

Founded in 2014 and based in South Korea, HWPL conducts peace education, interfaith dialogue, and international law initiatives to achieve its goals. ###
